LMCC’s next meeting will take place Wednesday, March 31 at 5:30pm est!
For our March meeting, we will be reading and discussing the introduction to Rana A. Hogarth’s 2017 book Medicalizing Blackness: Making Racial Difference in the Atlantic World, 1780-1840. In addition to reading the introduction, we encourage you to read the brief prologue, and we request that everyone also read one additional chapter of your own choosing. This should help spark a dynamic discussion about various aspects of Hogarth’s work. A .pdf copy of the entire book is posted on the “Readings” page of this site.
