We wanted to share a course being offered for Fall 2022!

The course is HBEH 523: Development & Evaluation of Health Behavior Interventions.

The course should be exciting and hands-on and is designed for undergrads (juniors and seniors) around interventions. There will be a global and domestic focus. In this course students will:

  • Work through case studies of domestic and global interventions
  • Apply techniques to select, design, and implement across the Social Ecological Framework
  • Create an evaluation plan for one health behavior approach
  • Consolidate new skills in an intervention & evaluation “pitch”

The course will meet on Wednesdays and Fridays, 11:15am-1:10pm, in McGavran-Greenberg Room 2304. The course is worth 4 credits; the pre-req is SPHG 352 or instructor permission.

If you’re an undergraduate student, consider enrolling (or at least sharing this info with your friends and classmates). If you’re a graduate student or faculty member, consider sharing this info with your students and colleagues.

An informational flyer is attached here. If you have questions, email coxmj@unc.edu or abbeymae@unc.edu.
